About the circuit
The TT Circuit Assen, known as the "Cathedral of Motorcycling", is a historic race track located near the town of Assen, Netherlands. The track was founded in 1925 as a street circuit and built as a permanent race track in 1955. Since then, it has hosted the prestigious Dutch TT, one of the oldest and most famous motorcycle races in the world.
The track is 4.555 kilometers long and includes 18 corners - 6 left and 12 right. Assen is known for its flowing, technical sections and fast corner combinations that thrill both riders and spectators. The track was shortened in 2006 to meet modern requirements, but remains a challenge for professionals and amateurs alike.
The TT Circuit Assen is not only used for MotoGP, but also for Superbike races, touring car events and various national motorsport events. In addition, track days, tests and other motorsport activities take place there. The infrastructure includes modern pit facilities, spacious spectator stands and a museum that documents the history of the Dutch TT.
The track offers a unique atmosphere, characterized by the enthusiasm of Dutch motorsport fans and a long tradition in racing.
