About the circuit
The Circuit Paul Ricard, also known as the Circuit du Castellet, is one of the most famous motorsport racetracks in France and is located near the picturesque town of Le Castellet, about 25 kilometers northwest of Toulon. The circuit was opened in 1970 and is known for its modern infrastructure as well as its varied route. With a length of 3.8 kilometers, it offers 15 corners and is suitable for both car and motorcycle racing.
The circuit has been modernized several times in recent years to meet the latest safety standards. Particularly noteworthy is the characteristic "Blue Zone", a unique track variant with a wide asphalt area that allows drivers to exit via an escape zone if necessary without leaving the track. The Circuit Paul Ricard is also known for its wide range of configurations, which allow the track to be adapted to different types of events.
The track has a long history and has hosted many prestigious events, including Formula 1 races, which were held regularly again from 2018. Aside from international racing series, the Circuit Paul Ricard is also used for private track days, driver training and test drives.
